Privacy Policy — Chotu Store

Plat4m Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Chotu Store mobile application (the "App"). Chotu Store is a store and restaurant management app designed for small-town convenience stores, corner stores, and mom-and-pop shops. It enables store operators to manage products, inventory, orders, and staff. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information

• Full name, email address, and phone number
• Login credentials (passwords are stored in hashed form)

Store Information

• Store/restaurant name and address
• Store hours, description, and logo
• Store category and type

Product and Inventory Data

• Product listings, descriptions, prices, and images
• Inventory levels and stock management data
• Categories and menu organization

Order and Transaction Data

• Customer orders received through the Chotu Customer app
• Order status, fulfillment records, and delivery tracking
• Sales records and transaction history

Staff Accounts

• Staff names and login credentials created by the store operator
• Staff roles and permissions

Device Information

• Device type, operating system, and version
• Unique device identifiers
• IP address

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage your store account
• Display your store listing and products to customers on the Chotu Customer app
• Process and manage incoming orders
• Enable staff account management and access control
• Generate sales reports and business analytics
• Send service-related communications (e.g., new order notifications, OTP codes)
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect or process data:

• Firebase (Google) — Crash reporting (Crashlytics), push notifications (FCM)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Cloud hosting, data storage, and media storage (S3)

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies for details on their data practices.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in the following cases:

• With customers — Your store name, address, menu/product listings, and store hours are publicly visible to customers using the Chotu Customer app.
• With delivery drivers — Order details and store pickup information are shared with drivers assigned to fulfill deliveries.
• Service providers — With trusted third parties that help us operate the App (as listed above).
• Legal compliance — When required by law, court order, or governmental request.
• Business transfers — In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. After account deletion, we will permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records or financial transaction records).

Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Hashed password storage
• Token-based authentication with session management
• Access controls and role-based permissions

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Our App is a business tool intended for use by store operators who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
